That is one hell of a generous deadline. But are you sure we can't use any non-music clips? And how is "music" to be defined, per se? Like, would an audio clip of two people talking in an elevator while muzak plays in the background count as music? Or a spoken-word poetry version of an already existing song? Or a clip that begins with a few seconds of music, and then has a natural cut to people just talking for the next ten, fifteen seconds?

Ok then Im in hopefully i will get some nice ideas until then can i use audio from a movie cause i have a very good idea...???can i???

Musics are serious business!

If you're going to use Shatner doing spoken-word "singing" fine.. King Missile is also ok as long as the audio has music. Noise music that sets out to be regarded as music also counts even if it's just a bunch of chirps and static.

Ah I was JUST about to ask about that. Glad i read.
I have a few videos done, and a few on the way. My two questions are:

1. will we only know if we made it AFTER the deadline in Augest?

and

2. In AMV hell 3 there were icons for each persons video on the lower right hand side of the video. Will you all do that after its confermed we made it?

Also there is a chance, since the ftp is down (im honestly not sure it will work since my trial is over...) i might be sending some yousend it links to the email giving within the next few days, just giving a heads up.

I'm thinking of a way of notifying people if they have something in the project, without it causing much work for me. I might put something up in a week or 2. I'm thinking I will have a page listing peoples names and say something like "2 of your videos may appear in the project". If you sent in 5 videos altogether, this would mean we thought your other 3 were crap and they are not even being considered, but your other 2 will be considered. As I've said before, the final lineup wont be confirmed though until after the deadline.
