Q1:
CliffD wrote:This question comes from Kiki's Delivery Service.

When Kiki makes the announcement to her father that she's going to be leaving on her year-long trek to learn her craft away from home, Kiki's Dad is a bit busy at the moment: loading up the car for a family camping trip. THE QUESTION: What is the license plate number of the car?
Q2:
This question comes from . . . Well, actually it DOESN'T come from an ANIME series. However, the answer is DEFINITELY anime-related.

Okay, this question comes from the television series Star Trek: The Next Generation.

In at least two episodes of ST:TNG, there is a reference to a major event in the life of Capt. Jean-Luc Picard, back when he was at Starfleet Academy. While a (reckless) cadet, Picard got into a fight with a group of aliens -- with VERY BAD results. In the end, Picard got a dagger stuck in his heart, which had to be replaced (the HEART -- I don't think they ever explained what happened to the knife). Now it JUST SO HAPPENS that this group of very-mean-and-nasty aliens comes DIRECTLY from the name of a famous anime character.

The Question: Give me either the NAME of the Aliens that stabbed Picard, OR Give me the name of the Anime Character where the ST writers got the name of the alien race. (Either one will be accepted.)

IIRC, it was "Nausicans," after (of course) Nausicaä from the Ghibli classic Kaze no Tani no Naushika.

That's them!! And That's Her!!! Your Thread, JHU!!

As for the Kiki question: The license plate number was:

1701

If the number seems a little familiar, add an "NCC-" in front of it.

I feel like a tennis ball sometimes... CLAMP-Ghibli-CLAMP-Ghibli... ^_^ CLAMP's turn!

In the first episode of Tokyo Babylon, a girl seeks revenge for the death of her brother, who was the architect of the building she's trying to curse.

What floor of the incomplete building did he fall to his death from?

I'm having horrible connectivity problems, and with the weekend coming up, I can't reach Tech Support until Monday. So in order to avoid stalling the thread, I'm going to pass control back to Cliff.

Sorry about this.

(And the answer was the 17th floor)

(Okay, . . . unexpected . . . Think, Cliff, Think . . .)

As a (temporary? ) break from the "CLAMP -- Ghibli" cycle (mentioned earlier by JHU Battousai), this question comes from the Quack Experimental Anime Excel Saga!!! (Yes, I love referring to it as a Q.E.A. -- then again, so did the producers)

The Question: List ALL of the judges of the New Year's Year-End Hidden Talent Contest. (REMINDER: There were Five, and I'm looking for ALL five)

This question comes from the television series Mobile Suit Gundam. (Because only the English dub of the television series is readily available, this question is based off of the dub. This question does NOT involve the compilation movies.)

One of the first (identified) NewTypes that Amuro goes up against is Zeon Lieutenant Challia Bull. Challia is identified as a potential NewType, and, after he returns from his previous mission, is put in a Mobile Armor to fight Amuro and his Gundam.

The Question: What was the location of Challia Bull's previous assignment?

for question one the five judges were: Pedro, The Great will Universe, Menchi, Kabapu, Nabeshin.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

Kabapu, . . . Great Will of the Macrocosm, . . . Pedro, . . . Nabeshin, . . . Menchi, . . . YUP!! Them's the Judges!! Alter's got the thread now.

As for the MS Gundam Q: Challia Bull had just come back from Jupiter (resource mission, collecting isotope Helium-3 for the Duchy), prior to combat against Amuro.
