Re: What are you playing?
Finished Bayonetta. Solid, engaging gameplay to be sure, and a story that never takes itself too seriously. Everything that this game does, it does as over-the-top as you can imagine. I still like Devil May Cry much better, but this was shameless fun.
Although I was playing it on the easiest mode (I do this for all games the first time through), I died a few times. However, it was never as a result of battle. It was because of things like, "Wait. That was a timed running sequence? Oh. Oops." You know, things that just take you off guard. It has a fabulous checkpoint system, though, so you never lose any amount of gameplay.
I won't go into the ridiculous, overt sexuality of the game again. It became a point of humor for me after a while, so I'll let it off the hook.
I think that means I'm out of PS3 games to play. I'll likely run through Bayonetta another time or two so that I can buy some stuff and get a few trophies, but otherwise, I'll probably move on to finally playing Fatal Frame IV and trying to figure out the freezing problem it was having.

Oddly, I'm rather cold about these new/upcoming releases. Seems like an awesome time in gaming, but I think I'll wait to catch up later on these shiny new FPS/RPG-type releases.
In the meantime, I'm partying with Falcon 4.0 BMS 4.32, the newly-released engine rewrite fora 13-year-old flight sim my official religion. The stuff of a flight sim dork's wet dreams!

....or reading up on the manual and learning how to use the darn thing again, anyway. It's a mystery why one would intently spend days studying stuff like...

...and even more terrifying when you realize that this is no longer gibberish and actually makes perfect practical sense to youBMS Manual wrote:TMS-forward actions change submodes from RWS to SAM to TTS to STT. TMS-aft changes the submodes back in the same sequence as TMS-forward. For example, if the pilot designates a target and puts the radar in the SAM submode, a subsequent TMS-aft will return the bugged target to a search target and the radar will revert back to CRM RWS submode. TMS-AFT in STT will place the radar in TTS if a secondary target is being extrapolated, or SAM if there is no secondary target. TMS-aft from TTS will place the radar in SAM, and TMS-aft from SAM will place the radar in CRM RWS.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
