Whenever I download an AMV, I immediately throw it into Premiere and watch it frame-by-frame so I can pick out all of its flaws.

Haha...nah, I just use whichever version of WMP comes with my OS. Me = not l337
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I certainly would enjoy it if Windows Media or Zoom player also came with the Quicktime (older version) features (suppressed now).

For AMV editors, it can be useful to do a lot of dynamic view filtering, etc. Almost no media players have advanced file properties like keyframe/GOP statistics and codec ID code, timecode, and frame export. Want realtime, dynamic effects and filters such as Smart Sharpen? Forget it!

Good thing there's AVISynth. Finally, now I can fix those crummy telecined videos. Though I still have a problem with some older, crummy Real and *GASP* VIVO files. How annoying!

Zoom Player, for all video files... The big advantage of it is that you can change the aspect-ratio while viewing. this is cool for some videos which are for example 352 x 240 and should be 4:3 or 16:9

if winamp can do this as well I might change... nothing goes over crispy audio in AMVs.

Media Player Classic / Mplayer2 (Media Player 6.4) for ANYTHING but Quicktime files.

I like the Realmedia and Matroska splitters that Gabest made, me loves Directshow

Media Player 6.4 and Pat's MCI Player, although nobody seems to know how to make an mpeg anymore. Takes me 10 extra seconds to switch the tv over for DivX!

I was using Core Media Player untial it stoped working for some reason.

Now I just use, divx 2.1 and windows media 9.

I have quicktime and Real player for said files only.
