I have yet to show my parents any, still not sure what would be best for that.

My sister had only glanced at certain scenes of shows, she refers to all anime as those dumb Japanese cartoons. When we were on a trip I watched Vampire Hunter D bloodlust in the car so she saw like the first half of that before she got bored. But she didn't care much for them before that.

One of my younger cousins does like Lupin the 3rd though, jigen is her favorite character, I just might get her the movie for her birthday or something.

My parents really have no idea.

But I do not want them to see what I see.

They know that I am old enough to watch what I want to watch and they trust my judgement. But they would definately raise a few eyebrows if they saw me watching something like Eva. Between the religious references and soft nudity...it would not be good.

Hmmm.... My mom's most recent boyfriends had bigger collections then I did and even introduced me to Slayers (this was about 3 years ago). So I never converted had my mom. Anyway, she's half Japanese so it's not like she doesn't understand it or anything and she enjoys a lot of different veraitity.

As for my dad, I told him to buy the Cowboy Beebop/Metropolios Double pack and keep the later. I'm want to show him Pricess Monokee. I think both him and my step mom would like it. Don't know about my step-sisters though...

As for my cousin, he showed me FLCL and Big O.
(I don't watch a lot of TV being in the military and constantly on the move.)
A lot of places say "No Shoes, No Shirt, No Service". Theoreticly I could walk around without pants and still expect service.

i don;t really care about getting my parents into anime ... my dad loves scifi, star treck and star wars were some of his favorites ... i'm sure i could get him hooked on Eva, Cowboy Bebop and Hellsing. My mother's an idiot sometimes ... so i jsut consider her a lost cause for this. Every now and then when i used to watch anime down stairs my sister would come down stairs finish watching whatever episode i was watching and bitch at me till i gave her the tv ... now i just watch anime in my room on my laptop alone. no one can bitch at me for it ... no one can criticize me for it ... i'm left alone in peace to watch whatever i want. i love it. if i were to get the whole family into anime that would mean i'd have to come down stairs and watch it with them ... something i don't really want to do.

yes ... i'm antisocial ... big fucking deal ...

They care absolutely nothing for violence of any sort, but they go berserk over any tiny sexual suggestion.

Sucks to be him since he's been obsessed with Love Hina
hmmm i wonder why ...

almost reminds me of the contrast between american and european tv ...

american tv ... Violence = good, sex = bad
european tv = !american TV

Sitting alone
in a small cuttered room
watching anime on a tiny laptop screen.

Seems kinda gay. :?

Well I have one good idea of what to hit, but it wouldn't fly with the other forum mebers. :?
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab
