Here's one for EVA:
"The Frayed Ends of Sanity" by Metallica
Tell my that isn't the seminal(sp?) EVA song.
And for some comedy:
"Die, Die My Darling" by Metallica (Done to Excel Saga)
I had actually had in my mind the scene from the first episode of Ilpallazzo killing Excel over and over, with the Will of the Macrocosm resetting it each time. It wasn't until later that I realized it applied to Hyatte, too. That revelation had me doubled over laughing.
"Trogdor" (Done to Escaflowne)
If you don't know what Trogdor is, go to http://www.homestarrunner.com/sbemail58.html. You have to sit through the cartoon first, but it's funny, so it's all good. It'll all make sense once you see it.

Of course, you could also try the original "Die, Die, My Darling" by the Misfits. The members of Metallica are big fans - and with good reason. Somehow I think the less self-serious sound of the Misfits (especially the Danzig-era Mistfits) would work better for a comedy video.

Hmm ok, these are ideas that I have had but am never going to use.
Mr Bungle: Good bye sober day.
I would do this but am NOWERE near good enough. It is one of the craziest songs around and have no idea how you could set footage to it.
( I had a hard enough time doing Sweet Charity)
No idea what anime would go to it.
Everclear: Father of mine
Anime: Evangellion.
While I personaly think that there are to many evangellion amvs out there, alot of em not done verry well. This song just suits it perfectly.
Juno Reactor: Samurai
Anime: Kenshin.
The only reason I wouldn't do this is apart from my aversion to doing amvs to anime. I would never be able to get the footage. And the song is 8 minutes long.
NIN: Perfect Drug
Anime: Excell Saga
A non comedy amv to Excell saga *GASP* It worked with the requim for a dream song, plus I think this one would be awsome. But I only have really bad fan subbed eppisodes of excell saga.
Radiohead: Punch up at the wedding (or Wolf at the door)
Anime: Any
I tried doing a digimon filmclip to this one untill I gave up and did sweet charity instead. I am not sure what the song is actully called. The file is named Wolf at the door but in winamp its called punch up at the wedding. So yeah...
The Gathering: Rollercoaster
Anime:???
I have tried for ages to find a show that would fit this song, its just a fantastic song. But I really havent seen many animes and you guys could probbaly find something to suit it.
Royal crown revue: Hay Paunchuco
Anime: Cowboy Bebop
If anyone has heard this song they know why i put it down. Royal crown revue is an awsome swing band that most of you have probbaly heard in Jim Carries The Mask. Hey Pauchuco is the song that is being played when they are dancing in the club. It just is the right music for Cowboy Bebop.
The Butterfly Effect: Crave
Anime:??
Another one I cant find anything to suit but you probbaly could verry easily. I don't even know if this band has been heard of outside of Australia. Great band from the Gold Coast.
