I would consider Jin Roh part of it, because several of the charactes are part of the Military.
Spriggan - Military action
Grappler Baki
DB/Z - Military shows up many times
X TV - One of the Dragons of the Earth (cause I don't remember his name at the moment) is in the Military.
Ghost in the Shell - Military was involved in the movie, not sure about the series
Street Fighter V - Guile is a military man
Akira
Ninja Scroll
Ninja Ressurection

Re: military anime
the problems with this thread is that, well, "military" isnt an anime gendre. so um, how about a more dietailed explenation of what ya mean by "military" anime ?sunandshadow wrote:Another "What animes fit in this category?" thread. Any anime in which one of the major characters is a soldier or cadet at a military school is acceptable. Police do not count. Bounty hunters and vigilantes don't count - there must be a military bureaucratic structure of some sort.
I know there's lotsmore - what are they? And for less common series, please describe them or link to a review.
oh and, "for the less common series", dont be lazy and find reviews yourself (google is your freind, as allways)

Actually, while military is kind of a side-factor, just remembered you could always take a shot at Getter Robo: Armageddon (aka Shin Getter Robo)
At first it's pretty minor, two of the Getter pilots are professional soldiers, a third winds up getting unofficially hired by them.
Then around the fourth episode (after the shit has begun to hit the proverbial fan) they shift focus for a while to a group of soldiers sent by the Japanese military (...or what's left of it.)

I view all three seasons as Crest of the Stars. If you watch the opening credits on the dvd, it still says crest of the stars for a few seconds before it goes to banner. Seikei no Senkei, for all 3 I think. I've also seen it as "battle flag of the stars."Yukina_Raven wrote:And its prequal, Crest of the Stars.DeviantH wrote:Banner of the stars
The sword, it thirsts to drink of man,
The sword at last must win,
Today is gone, and yesterday,
Must echo in the wind.
