Given the fact that the same voice actor for Batman has been doing Batman since the early 90's and is STILL doing that voice 10 years later (Justice League Unlimited, and Batman Beyond before Justice League), then the guy must be doing something right!
And after listening to Mark Hamill as the Joker, I REALLY can't imagine anyone else doing the Joker. I recently caught an episode of the new "The Batman" series just to give it a look, and the Joker they got there just... well it just ain't the same Joker as Mark Hamill's. The voice is like some other guy TRYING to immitate Mark Hamill's Joker.
Although I have to agree with the argument that no matter what... Batman wins!
Hell, just recently in JLU, they've been going through hell as all kinds of political uprising and distrust of the people towards the JL has brought about some wicked story lines.
Given that the JL are framed for nuking a small town in New Mexico (Luthor hacked their giant laser and framed them for blasting a secret underground American base under the city), the people and ESPECIALLY the government don't trust the JL. Sups, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, HawkGirl, and Martian Manhunter agree to turn themselves into the authorities pending an investigation on what happened.
Batman...?
"That's the dumbest thing I have ever heard, ESPECIALLY coming from you!" (Towards SuperMan)
And while all hell breaks loose at the JL's base, who goes and says to the government, "Don't be stupid, do you REALLY think we'd try and kill you! Why would we fire at a base we knew had already been deserted? Answer me that! You know exactly who's responsible, but you're being too blind to see the truth."
As for how he goes to say it:
:Batman in air vent over secret war room:
*KLANG* "We need to talk, Warren" *Thwip*
GAH! *Batarang knocks gun out of hand* *Guy rushes Batman*
*POW*
NOW!
It is for this very reason that Batman always wins!
He's too cool and too much of a badass to let other, more powerful people, get in his way.
I don't think that Batman needs to be an anime at all. It's sweet and cool as it is. If you REALLY want to see Batman in anime or manga setting, read Video Girl Ai, or DNA^2, or I's, or any of the other manga by that guy. The mangaka who did those and the mangaka behind Steam Detectives have a running feud about who's the bigger Batman fan. It's true!
If this thread gets locked, then it will be a sad, sad day when a Batman has to be locked by the rule of... Batman.
