Now it's even getting its hands on the Naruto series..........those bastards........always wanting to ruin a good thing.
Just to clarify two things:

1. ShoPro (the group that's licensed Naruto) isn't Funi. They're tied to Viz.
2. How do you know it's going to be ruined? As was stated below, Funi's actually done some good work (the kicker is, the infamous DBZ eps so many are quick to crucify them over were actually dubbed by another group before Funi stepped in. You'll notice they're now cleaning that up.)

Seriously though guys...it's not like it's 4Kids here...wait and see what they do before you get the pitchforks and torches. Sometimes they'll surprise you (...for example, I look at the job ADV did with RahXephon and I'm still amazed such a good release came from a group which royally grabassed on releasing Dunbine...but I digress)

I personally thought the trailer was nice. While the Japanese version of Sana already sounds superior to the new English V.A., the English Sana seems to fit really well. I'm not talking about her inability to sing 800 syllables a second like the original, the quality of her voice fits an English speaking Sana, she actually sounds like a kid. The only thing I'm really looking forward to is how Akito is going to sound, is he actually going to be depressed or not. For those of you who are upset by the results of the trailer, DUH! That's exactly it is. Could you for once wait to complain until the series has been released?

As for the Kodocha OAV, it's good, but not as great as the T.V. series. It's basically the first volume of the manga in a 30 minute format. Since it's so much like the manga, the comedy has been toned down a bit too. Oh, and Sana's blonde in it as well.
Probably too busy to be here right now.

No they weren't. They were dubbed by FUNimation (using the Ocean Group), distributed for syndication by Saban, and distributed on home format by Pioneer. Still completely FUNimation's-doing, though.

Even if you don't like what the dub becomes (and it'll probably be pretty freakin' good), the Japanese track is there for you (minus that weird contractual problem with regards to Tokio's music).

I LOVE IT!

Aw man, now I want to know what the rest of the dub sounds like. :P
You poor sad little man.........you haven't seen the Japanese version of Kodomo no Omocha, that's ssssaaaaaaaddddd.....
I can't imagine the dubbed Kodomo no Omocha would be as fun and crazy as the original. :|
First of all, I'm not a man.

Second of all, I have seen some of Kodomo no Omocha in its original language. And in no way does my post above imply that I have never seen Kodocha in Japanese.

Third of all, I have found the Kodocha anime to be much less enjoyable than the manga, so chances are slim that I will be buying the DVDs anyway. I was merely expressing the fact that the trailer sounded hilarious to me, and that I was curious about how they plan to maintain that whole level of energy throughout the dub.

Fourth of all, FUNi did a pretty good job with Fruits Basket, so there's hope yet (for you guys).

Please don't jump to so many conclusions next time.
Gezz sorry........ :|

Yeah... Blue Gender, Gunslinger Girl, Bakuretsu Tenshi, Fullmetal Alchemist, etc. have all received such terrible releases by FUNimation in the US...

People, I'm a DBZ fan from the mid-90s, and *I've* gotten over it. Take the hint.

Back to the topic at hand... I agree with regards to the Kodocha manga; it's one of the best I've ever read, hands-down. I've only seen around 30 episodes of the anime, but it's still fantastic and highly recommended.
Out of all of those that you listed the only good dubbed anime was Full Metal Alchemist.....as for the rest of them, I could have done better off seeing the animes in Japanese. I'm not a HUGE dubbed anime fan, so you can understand my dislike for dubbed anime, though I have to admit the best dubbed anime I've ever seen has to be Cowboy Bebop. Now not to piss everyone off again, but these are just my opinions that you can choose to agree or disagree with, so no need to get pissy people, it's just an opinion not a order to agree with me.

So what's the problem with popping in the DVDs and watching the Japanese version? You've already said you're not a fan of dubs, so why you'd bother to even care about them is beyond me.

The fact is people get pissed at FUNimation for an anime that wasnt fully under its control, and that was dbz. Seriously get over it and accept the fact FUNimation has changed for the better and I actually look forward to there dubs now. Your opinion is what people have been saying for years on message boards and literally all it does is make people lose respect for FUNimation without even realizing all the work they have done to change into a good company. Its sad how FUNimation still deals with these people who constantly put them down and I still see some FUNimation reps at various cons just talk about all the hate mail they get over dbz.
