Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Not more butthurt than someone who goes by jschart1 as a skype user. Convincing me that it was someone else. Searching up the person behind the mask on google. Gives false hope by adding him. I will never answer your calls or any of your DZ studio members. Well maybe one person.

How that relates to your video in any way I don't know. Funny watching you bring up incoherent shit because you can't take bad crit on a video, though. Backpedal moar

Not a bad video by any means; editing was nice, and you put a fair amount of effort into the effects. Still some of were overly tacky (videocopilot and 2.5D crap needs to go), as well as the random insertation of your nick in various parts of the amv.

Other than that it was mostly just a pacing deficiency. Some of the scenes just felt bland.

7/10

The effects WERE cheesy and terrible, but honestly they kept me watching this video. And I believe it was mentioned earlier on in the comments that you need to focus more on your scene selection: I'd strongly disagree there. Your actual selection process was fine, but like all Elcalavero videos, this one feels rough and jagged. The way you actually string your clips together is what I feel like you need to work on the most. A lot of your cuts didn't really help the pacing all that much and could have used some fine tuning in order to smooth out this video as a whole. Not terrible though.

I liked some of the FX work you did!
But rest was pretty bad :/

What really kept throwing me off was your usage of hardcuts and those low opacity overlays.
pretty much flow and sync

I really liked it for the most part. Things that bothered me was the way you edited the first part seemed totally different from the rest of the video. I don't think masks were all needed... and some of the effects. My favorite parts of the video are the ones where you didn't try anything fancy.
