I'm tagging on here, as I'm not sure this is worth a whole new post (but I am curious). What would be the best way to find a beta? A post in the opinions forum? Lurk in the #amv-review chat? Bribe someone with virtual cookies?

I recall reading something about the Opinions Forum being used for beta-ing, but every post I've seen so far has been a completed project so I feel a bit shaky about that. I'd be willing to exchange an op but since I'm new to vidding, I'm not sure how valuable my opinion would be. (Not to mention, it would mean posting the vid as complete. Eek.)

I have a few rough spots I'm not sure how to smooth out and I think a beta could help. And I had one story-board question (otherwise known as: "ack, my ending").

Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Beta Thursday is held roughly 6PM to 10PM (EST) Every Thursday, but betas are allowed in #amv-review at all times.

Tell me when you want to me review your beta, and usually anyone around in #amv-review will join too.

and you can still use the op exchange for beta testing, though from personal observances not many people will respond...

and even ops from "newbs" are welcome... sometimes its nice to hear "emotional" reactions that don't focus on the "technical" so much

Fantastic. Thanks, Kionen. I'll try to get in there tonight at 6 EST (provided no mIRC meltdowns), otherwise, I'll lurk along on Thursday, same bat time, same bat channel. As a fore-warning, one of my biggest problems is file size. It's 5 minutes and widescreen DVD so it's big. I've resized it, compressed it, and finally got it down to 40Mb, so hopefully that's not too "wtf, thisthingishuge!" reaction-worthy.

And JaddziaDax, I can understand the allure of an emotional reaction. After all, the emotional stuff is why peeps made the vid in the first place, right? So, score one for the newbs, woot!

Please get me a link asap. I will be at work during Beta Thursday, although by 10PM EST, I'll be on lunch. As long as I have it ahead of time, I can prepare commentary (and make a thread post reminding everyone Beta Thursday is going on).

Most people use dvds for footage, and the process laid out in the new eadfag makes it so that you can import footage into virtually any program.

The guide is a bit wordy, but it covers pretty much everything you need to know

just a little question ?

When I export an interlaced movie from Premiere as Laga to import it into After effects do I have to deinterlace the video first ?
