Is Maya the Bee an anime? I can't get a straight answer anywhere...
If it is, then I saw my first anime around 3 years old!
:glee!:
But then, I didn't even know or care back then. :?

I got you all beat... 7 years old... Akira!
Of course, it was a secret, but I regret it after the nightmares
Plus, I stayed FAR AWAY from anime for, like 3 or 4 years. Ironically, I can't stop watching it now!

Ditto, I just called it "That show with the bird-people."

Bwahahahahaha!   I remember waiting on the edge of my seat for the cable companies to run lines through our town. It's reeeeaaaaallly frightening that we remember that huh?

I was 6. I clearly remember, our Cablesucks company was TCI.

I went straight for nerdy shows!

Hm, I believe I was 6, and Captain Tsubasa was the first I have seen. Voltron was also one of the first animes I have seen.

Ah, the good old days.

I'm pretty sure I saw an ep or two of Transformers when I was a wee little tyke (two or three or however old I was at the time)--my brother liked them, but apparently he prefered the American ripoff known as the Go-Bots. I have only the vaguest recollections of either. When I was eighteen I spent two weeks with a fourteen-year-old who described Sailor Moon in-depth--never watched it though. The first anime I ever specifically watched was one episode of Noir because my friend was watching it fansubbed on her computer--that was about two years ago now.

My grandmother was one of the first people to get cable when I was a kid...and I used to stay at her house all the time (yes, I was a Grandma-Raised-Me kid) and she used to let me and my brother stay up super late watching Cartoon Network. So I actually saw quite a bit of anime as a child, though I can hardly remember any of it. ::cackles:: Now that I think of it, I believe my grandma's cable box was illegal....
