Good luck at Parris Island. Even in the Navy, if your male your only to take 25.00, and the stuff that your wearing. If you need it, they will issue it to you. So don't worry. Just be carefull of the Masiquites (spell?!) they are bad around that time of year. Mabey I'll see ya on a ship, they say its a Small Navy, and the saying is true for the Marines. Mabey I can send you the Manga that I basicly destory for my time in basic, and send it to you while your in basic.. but I am not real sure on how the Marines are about that type of thing.

Thanks for the ideas.. I'm going out next week to buy. I just hope that I can keep from reading them, before I ship. I have them all saved and wrote down. I am off to Waldnes, SunCoast, and GameStop to go get more Manga!

Thats why they will sent in the Mail one chapter at a time.. So The Books are going to be tore up by the time I am finsished with them.

I already know what I am aloud to take, and what I must leave behind.. I may be going to basic, but I plan to have some for of Japanese Animations.. so thats why my idea must work.. if not, I am going to have alot of folks mad at me!

Having been though the Air Force basic training experience I'd recommend against that. They won't open your mail or anything but whenever a care package or a letter that looked fishy(some love letters) arrived the MTIs would have the recipient open/read it out loud.

From 4:30 in the morning to 8:55 at night we were always busy every day. From 8:55 to 9:00 at night we were allowed to read/write our mail and usually get a few minutes of the news on tv after that. Once that was over it was lights out and we were in bed. My point is there was hardly any free time at all.

If they caught you with it I'm not sure what they would do but there was a guy who made a chess set in fourth week in another flight. He was caught and sent all the way back to zero week. Having been sent back two weeks myself for not meeting physical standards let me tell you, being recycled sucks a lot...

I was easily able to do without anime durring my time in Texas as my mind was on important things such as keeping my mouth shut, staying out of the MTI's way, passing the physical standards, and keeping in touch with my family.

I don't know your priorities or what the Navy basic training is like but if it is anything like what I went through I'd suggest not doing this. You will have plenty of time afterwards to catch up.

/my two cents....

Thats the fun part.. is trying to keep your stuff! They say thats its the more kinder Navy. I hope that its true. If worse comes to worse, I'll tell my parents to stop sending them! But I hope that it does not happen.. If it does, then I'll just be in better shape, then when I went it.

Thanks for the advice.. I'll keep it in mind :)
