Tenchi OVA/Movie 1? *hasn't seen it in a while..may not count..

Tenchi's mom is dead, though. (Or so we think. OVA 3 could br proving us wrong I dont' wanna spoil it, though.)

As far as shows where both parents are alive when the person goes off on an adventure... Well, in DiGi Charat, Usada's parents leave for America, and she has to fend for herself in Japan - This is probably much too silly to count.

Also, I would say Sailor Moon should count. Usagi's mom and dad are both alive throughout the whole series, and her mom is even targeted in season 4, and has to be saved.

The movies and the OVA's are a completely different story line. The only connection is the characters themselves. The same goes for every incarnation of Tenchi that is out there(one exception is GXP but it takes place after the 3'rd OVA).

Thanks for confusing things. I hadn't mentioned the movies at all... I was referring to the OVA.

Vyse from Skies of Arcadia (Dreamcast and Gamecube). Both are alive throughout and are introduced fairly quickly into the game.
