I'd help too. I'm very lifeless, you understand. Farlo, Kai, and I could cover every metal issue known to man, SQL or otherwise.

Well, it's nice to see that we have some people volunteering to help clean up the music database. You all realize that thirty thousand is a big number, right?

Anyway, its been proposed as a topic at the next mod/admin meeting how we'd like to go about doing it --- so let's all hope this happens.

an easy way to implement moderations:
-create a moderations forum
-give all members privileges to create polls in this forum
-set up some criterion for moderation acceptance/rejection
-moderation proposals are posted as new threads with polls
-members can vote and post comments about the moderation in the thread
-when poll passes criterion for acceptance, someone notifies admin, the incorrect name is aliased to the new name (using whatever tools admin used to alias anime titles), then thread is locked
-when poll passes criterion for rejection, the thread is locked

You want polls for 30,000 entries?

If you're talking about an Audioscrobbler-like system, I feel it important to point out that the system (1) can operate very slowly (here's an example) and (2) it requires an honest community.

(1) isn't really that big of a problem, but (2) can be.

Only if it's done properly, in a way that allows unaliasing.
