I never went as far as submitting formal take downs and having YTube do it themselves through copyrighted laws. All I did was I sent a nice message/email asking to person who posted it up if they would kindly take it down and to understand why I don't want them up. 95% of the users were very very nice about removing it and totally understood my reasoning. (only 1 person I couldn't contact at all, so I had to submit a comment on the video itself).trythil wrote:Sorry to intrude in on the God complex here, but Ishippochan wrote: I know about copyright laws and things like

think it's worth pointing out that your case for submitting formal
takedowns to boochsack is tenuous at best. (If you know about US
copyright law, you should also know about DMCA takedown procedures and
what they require.)
I never ever plan to contact YTube and submit formal requests, I feel that would be going to far for an amv that I made.
I just wanted to do what I could by myself (I posted hear to get opinions on what to doto avoid submitting a formal request at all costs to YTube to get my stolen video off,and since I can't, that's why I'm giving up on that video now)
is it wrong just to nicely ask people to take down your own work that you don't want up?
