Anime Expo 2015 AMV Competition - WINNERS POSTED!

I just wanted to take a second to tell the coordinators how amazing the AMV contest / AMV room was this year. I was at Anime Expo the whole weekend, and the AMV contest was by far the best event I attended. ALL AMV creators (not just finalists) got VIP treatment, with special AMV theater privileges, AMV creator ballots, and free tickets to the AMV contest. I had the BEST SEAT in the entire house (front row center), and I was blown away with the professionalism. I was worried that I would feel out of place as an amateur, but everyone I interacted with was very friendly and supportive. I could really feel the love everyone had for AMV creation. I even participated in the AMV Creator Takeover, which was extremely FUN. I didn't have a chance to meet Troy (unfortunately), but Vlad is the NICEST GUY and a great MC.

One of the contest finalists (Tarage) even stopped me after the creator panel to help with some encoding glitches I am having with my AMVs. Again, the support is so great to see.

I've lurked on this forum for a long time without making an account, but after AX I realized how awesome and supportive the AMV community is. Couldn't help but finally say something. Now I'm inspired to create bigger and better for next year. Thanks again guys!

OMG I am so happy and shocked my Fishsticks video won!! XD I wish I could have travelled to the con to attend. It sounds like everyone had a great time! I've only seen my video shown to one crowd here in Canada and they were silent after and didn't seem to know how to take it ^-^;; I have a feeling they thought it was a serious yaoi video which was definitely not my intention lol Congrats to all the winners!! Can't get over how huge this competition is and I was just honoured to make it to the finals ^-^ Thank you so much!

I was at both the AMV show and the encore and both times, "Fishsticks" got a lot of laughs. I laughed so hard the first time that I cried. =__=;; Videos like that and "Iwatobi Weather Service" really get to me I guess.

I would like to say good job on setting up the AMV competition and the AMV Encore/Awards. I was so blown away by it! This is my first time that I attend Anime Expo. My experience at Anime Expo this past weekend was delightful! I never knew the AMV community was big! Not to mention the room was almost a full house! AMVs' panel rooms was amazing. I was conflicted on which one that I want to go to. Congratulations to everybody in the competition. Dem chairs are nice

Was super-psyched to have been in the finals and was absolutely beside myself seeing my vid on the big-screen. Congrats to the winners and good luck mailing out the chairs Troy, I heard you lamenting about it in the AMV room as it was shutting down and on the way back from the encore performance.

And seriously, like I said when I was able to talk with you and Vlad briefly, the AMV room was amazing this year. Spent most of my time at AE in the room having a blast watching videos and the Clap/Sing-along was incredible (still can't believe we shook the damn floor!).

Darn, i was hoping you had found some of the ones i couldn't.

D4, "Levity" is the VermillionAMV repost. PieandBeer posted it here but not on YouTube yet.

F2 has been DMCAed (they really ought to upload it to a-m-v.org, and also that company ought to get a clue since i'd never even heard of the anime until seeing that video.)

R4, "Power Chord" isn't the original creator, or even a "normal" reposter like VermillionAMV, just some random dude with a single video. The last i saw Vivifx was saying the video wasn't publicly released yet, though that was a couple months ago.

Personally i'm not going to be sharing D4 or R4 on YouTube until the original creators feel like posting them.
