Ok I was gonna post this yesterday, but how many people have actually completed Nagisa's route?

I'm asking because

After you start living with her, and you find her outside at night practicing and she's talking about the story her parents told her when she was younger (about the girl living alone in the illusionary world) it suddenly fades to black and then...

BAM! The OP theme picks up and it plays a M@D style scene which looks very similar to the Anime OP, only with CGs and the full song.

Like, totally unexpected, I mean, I loved it, but I wonder did this happen on any of the other girl's routes?

I'm kinda confused with that scene. I mean the mad like thing. It seemed like the credits, but her route continues after that. So I don't know which purpose this scene had :/ It was pretty, yes...but kinda ..I don't know. Lets see how her story continues, since I haven't finished it, yet. =)

The other girls hadn't something like that. Their credits were just plain text rolling down with a white bg and a differnt song as in the mad scene in Nagisa's route.

I just finished Nagisa's route. Like... right before...

And like... why am I crying...? It's too sad... the "good" ending is more sad than the "bad" ending...

If the anime is staying true to Nagisa's route... you guys are all in for one hell of a ride... it was too sad...

Also, it seems for some reason Wiki has removed the spoilers on the character info page... which is annoying because I recall some event supposedly happening, but I can't make sure.

Upon further pondering the subject, I have decided that there must be more than just one "bad" and one "good" ending.

MASSIVE, MASSIVE SPOILER. Don't say I didn't warn you, this is one of those "anime ruining" spoilers...

I'm pretty sure I remember reading in the wiki character info page for CLANNAD awhile back that Nagisa actually dies, and the little girl running through the fields in the anime is Tomoya and Nagisa's daughter. However, my route ending with Nagisa, who, having got a fever for pretty much the entire year after the play, had to repeat the school semester, and Tomoya decides to wait forever for her. The "bad" ending, which I tried, resulted in her ruining the play and becoming depressed. Maybe I missed an important option earlier, or maybe she isn't supposed to die... but that would leave a lot of questions unanswered.

Either way, I'm going to go back to the beginning and answer whatever the hell I want and see where I end up... hopefully with Kyou... hopefully...

Yes, I'm really having a hard time avoiding all those spoiler tags, while still searching which ones are related to the last eps so that I can read them for a possible discussion. ^^

Pas, sometimes you can unlock a "real" ending for the main character when you get the good ending with every character. This isn't that uncommon in visual novels, so maybe here too when you finish every route, you get the "real" Nagisa ending. I'm not sure, but it might be.

There are two story arcs in the game: the School Life arc, and the After Story arc. The School Life arc contains the main protagonist's final year of high school, in which he meets all of the characters in the game, though the focus is kept on the five heroines in the story. The After Story arc is mainly a continuation of Nagisa's story, and is set ten years after the School Life arc when Nagisa and Tomoya are now married and have a young daughter named Ushio. Characters from the School Life arc do appear, but play minor roles compared to their roles in the School Life arc.

So I must have missed something on my route... maybe it's as you say and I have to finish the route for all the girls, I mean, the credits did roll when I finished Nagisa's route (and it didn't when i got the bad ending) so it must be real.

If you finish a route of a girl, you sometimes get a "light". Don't know if it's related.
I've got 8 lights so far. Don't know if there are more to find. I have so far these paths finished:



Maybe there is still some side character to find.

After Story - Collect at least 8 orbs of light in the main story and finish that playthrough;

Alternate Main Menu - Obtain the TRUE END of After Story;

CG Mode - Collect at least 1 orb of light in the main story and finish that playthrough;

Music Mode - Collect at least 1 orb of light in the main story and finish that playthrough;

Orbs of light in the Main Menu - For every orb of light you obtain in a playthrough of either the main story or the after story, you will get it to appear in the main menu.

Actually, I think I managed to loose one, talking to Fuko's sister in another arc after obtaining Fuko's orb :s
