Re: Editing Comforts
1. Not having things to do the next day helps; means I can stay up 'til hell freezes. I have a hard time editing during the day, probably due to working late on every other project I have.
2. A warm drink is awesome. I try not to drink coffee late at night, so tea works.
3. An open window. It's oddly comforting, even when it's cold out.

Re: Editing Comforts
The above, as well as having a good pair of headphones (which I have), at max volume.insomniac wrote:i usually edit at night, 12am+ [...] i'll usually eat something simple before/while editing; and i almost always have a cold soda on my desk. (if i finish it i just end up replacing it a few seconds later.) i also prefer the lights in the room being on, but it doesn't really matter.
Comfortable clothes are also nice, not a must, but it kinda is a way of NOT getting distracted by something feeling off.

You must have ears of steel Zet, I turn my music up too loud and my ears are ringing for hours.

Re: Editing Comforts
The noise level either has to be very low or completely silent. I don't mind having the TV play downstairs while I'm working, but if my sister is blowing her sax in the room next to me, I can't work.

Re: Editing Comforts
A good pair of headphones, my feet up on something, and either water, tea, or soda nearby to drink is all I usually like to have. I tend to have some kind of noise going as well, (particularly if I'm masking something), otherwise it becomes too quiet. I prefer editing at night as well, or at least not when I first wake up, lol.
