Re: AnimeEXPO 2013 - ANNOUNCING THE AMV ROOM!
Nothing right now has been given away yet.. I will be setting aside space for this in the AMV room. Most likely there will be two, 2 hour blocks on different days starting around monish or later.. Once I have a solid time for the blocks, I'll send out to everyone who answered and anyone else an overview and set of time to choose from and start placing people in those blocks.
I can’t say what they will be up against in terms of other programming, but as they will be most likely in the early afternoon most likely, they would not be up against prime time events in the late to early evening.
Stay tuned on this…

Just as a heads up on the creator Splotlights, I'll have availability of slots and signup here at the end of May, just want to confirm all our scheduled times are firmed and will not change.. I'll e-mail all those at that time who expressed interest and post the info here as well

I can't argue against that. Should've thought that post out more before writing it. *footinmouth*Vlad G Pohnert wrote:In Some places it's stil the 15thdrewaconclusion wrote:So, no Iron Chef announcement on the 15th eh?

Re: AnimeEXPO 2013 - ANNOUNCING THE AMV ROOM!
Sorry for the delay, I was getting final confirmation on the sources. So then. Without further adue...
1) Competitors must use at least three of the five video sources listed.
2) At least one frame from the secret source must be used. Competitors should note that they will be judged on how effectively they integrate the secret source with their video.
3) Competitors will be given two (2) hours to edit their video. In the unlikely event of a technical malfunction, the downed editor's clock halts until they are able to resume editing.
4) Competitors may edit until the last second, at which time nothing may be added, moved, or removed. The final projects shall then be output to a file for playback.
5) Editors must provide their own audio track. It is recommended that editors bring multiple songs of different genres (you never know what that secret source might be). Anything goes, but nothing obscene or excessively vulgar.
---THE JUDGEMENT
A judging panel of select veteran AMV creators and past contestants shall score the videos using the following 50-point criteria:
Use of secret ingredient: 15 points
Use of theme: 15 points
Technical merit: 10 points
Artistic merit: 10 points
---THE EQUIPMENT
Editors will be provided the usage of a preconfigured workstation to edit on. Each editor's workstation is identical, and is fully equipped with the full Adobe CS5 Production Suite on high end hardware.
---THE ENTERTAINMENT
To keep the audience entertained while the entrants sweat, we'll be showing AMVs. Big surprise there. But wait, there's a twist! As part of the AMV viewing there will be games and audience participation with chances to win nifty kewl prizes an' stuff!
Any questions? Ask away! This post will be updated with further information as it comes.

for a game, i suggest bringing up an audience member that's never edited before and have them sit in the 3rd editing chair while the judges stand behind him/her jabbering out instructions all at the same time.
