They bored me, I didn't say they were bad did I? Is it ok for me to be bored or do I have to agree with everyone else?kearlywi wrote:Um let me guess, you didnt watch more than 2 seconds of these series did you?Kracus wrote:Inuyasha - dumb
Escaflowne (series movie doesn't matter) - BORING
Fushugi yugi - BORING
Love Hina - Boring
Inuyasha doesnt get good til ep 14.
Escaflowne doesnt get good til ep 18.
Love Hina didnt get good (for me) until ep 8.
This is the most rediculous "bad" anime list I have ever seen. Inuyasha, Escaflowne, and FY all make some sence since all 3 are fantasy (and take a long time to get going), and fantasy may not be your thing, but Love Hina? Boring? omgwtf? You have interesting taste to say the least.
What do you know of my taste? The stories and plots did not interest me. Someone in here said Evangelion was the worst, that's their opinion. I don't agree however. I also didn't like the characters in these animes as well. but I ask again, did I say there were bad?
Oh and your guess was wrong as well.

"Only Yesterday" has to be the most boring animated movie I've ever seen in my life, and I've been able to watch through some shit. I had to stop watching halfway through this because I was literally falling asleep. I've never bothered to finish it. Yes, Miyazaki can do wrong...
As for worst series, I'd have to say Steel Angel Kurumi. It's the most annoying anime I've ever seen. I also hate every form of Sailor Moon except, suprisingly, the live action show, which is so bad it's good ^_^
I also disagree with the notion of having to watch entirely through an anime series before judging it. If someone is punching you in the face repeatedly, you wouldn't let that person continue to see if something good comes out of it, right? If an anime can't grab my attention right away, then it's really not very good. I'd rather not suffer through the crap to get to the good stuff; I've got better things to do with my time, like relacing all of my shoes or picking the lint out of my belly button.

Most of his AMVs are to things like DBZ, Kenshin, DBZ and Jin-Roh... Basicly anything that is nothing but explosions and fighting. I'm pretty sure we can dismiss his opinions on anime since he has the attention span of a child.Kracus wrote:They bored me, I didn't say they were bad did I? Trust me I'm the last person to agree with everyone else. I'm just getting the vibe that you really didnt try these animes long enough. I've only heard one person who didnt like Inuyasha defend herself well, and she proved to me she had seen at least the whole first season of the show, in order. As far as love Hina, I guess calling it "boring" knocked me out of my chair a little. Its one of the highest energy animes I have ever seen. I've heard that a lot of people don't like it because its shonen and echi in places, but boring is a new one.
As far as taste goes, its ok to be different (of course). I looked at your profile page and you seem to like action based anime that is dark. You don't like sillyness. In that case I am slightly understanding of finding Inuyasha and FY boring. However Escaflowne is different. Escaflowne isn't a silly anime, its serious, well animated, and has very well done action scenes. It can be very dark in places too. Don't let the Mechs... *AHEM* "Guymelefs" allow you to think it is a cheesy or silly anime series (its far from it). Its one of the rare "Mech" animes I actually enjoy. HOWEVER, I will grant that it does get a little slow after ep 2 until about ep 18, then its an amazing anime from ep 18 on. Its a little slow in the middle but worth watching in order for character/storyline development.

One more thing about Escaflowne. Did you see it on Fox? (years ago). I didn't but I heard it was terrible. The edited the hell out of it, and made every episode a short clipshow from what I heard. I know a lot of people to this day who love shows like Inuyasha (which is like a more lighthearted and more "deformed" version of Escaflowne IMO) but won't touch Escaflowne because they saw it on Fox years ago. Damn you Fox!

Escaflowne was butchered to shreds on Fox. Heck, they even skipped the FIRST episode.kearlywi wrote:One more thing about Escaflowne. Did you see it on Fox? (years ago).
