I'm allergic to people calling anime Japanimation or Japanese Cartoons.

Not because there's something horrifically wrong with that, just that...

....there's a perfectly normal pronounceable 3-syllable name for it people!

So, considering that there is perfectly accepteable and pronounceable name for it which anyone knowing anything about anime should know, I think it would be perfectly valid to consider anyone running around calling anime "Japanimation" to be either very thick or completely incompetent

Just a quick question, what about Teen Titans? I always believe it was an American cartoon. But not too long ago, I was told it was an anime. I'm having trouble believing it though.

Anime isnt japanese for Cartoons. Anime is a specific style of animating. created in japan for more mature audiences. granted there are Animes for kids, but they arn't cartoons. Cartoons are made for kids, Anime generaly isnt.

Actually 'anime' is French for 'animation.' The Japanese borrowed the word since there was no equivalent Japanese word.
