madbunny wrote:yeah, it's been completely awesome so far. Great battles, some actual romantic tension, and a surprisingly gritty storyline with blood death and destruction.

So far most of the characters have had a chance to shine a bit, like Melissa's undercover gig early on. She was hot. Chidori's escape was super hot!

Unfortunately, am I the only one that sees the show sort of following some pretty standard lines here?

I'll bet that he meets with the enemy, gets convinced that THEY are the ones trying to stop mithril from doing something horrible (like maybe mithril was behind his Helmajistan problems) and stuck in a moral dilemma about that. Meanwhile the rest of the show is just about how he gets back to Chidori, and the show devolves into a battle between the megabrains of the Testarossas?
x2 to everything. Although if the show is treading, or going to tread overthe same standard storylines I will be protected my my ever present selective short-term memory. Everythings new and original if you choose not to remember all the times its happened before.
I have to say, however, with this show its been hard for me to tell whats going to happen next, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it's all going to unfold. My biggest concern at this point is that the romanic aspect is not going to be fully developed. I'm afraid they're only going to push it far enough to get the view to tune in to the show's next incarnation.

Well, I think the show is mostly going from the novel, I think. I don't know, of course, since I haven't read the novel or anything, but I assume that if the novel was really popular enough to become manga, and then anime, that the novel writer had to do a good job with makin' Sousuke and Chidori get together or whatnot. >>

And man, I REALLY hope madbunny isn't right with the predictableness coming up. That'd be sad... *pout*

Strange though it may seem... I have been wrong before. I'm hoping I'm wrong this time too. Can anybody point me to sources for the manga or the book? If it's not er.. appropriate for the site use PM.

One more episode to go people. Someone spoiled me before on what should happen in the episode so I will keep hush about it. However, what happend during it is quite hard to believe for multiple reasons. I look forward to see how this will end but minus that one Chidori episode I'm not too satisfied at the moment.

novel or not, with the execption of the first few eps and ep 9. this series is getting extremelly boring... all though lilgumba sparked my interest... so I guess i'll put up with another possibly boring ep (hard to say with the M9's coming in) to see what the hell lilgumba is talking about.

ok, so i've come the the concluesion that this was just a bridge series for another upcoming saga of FMP. Which will include more of Wrath, and Tessa's bro. (hopefully)

So yeah, I'm thinking you're right.

Only problem is that I hear that this is
where the manga ended as well so unless they make a seperate ova or something this is it.
I wish there was more cause I could have used more Chidori in the show.

Yeah, if this is the end of the series. I'm glad it ended the way it did. I wouldn't want my fav anime getting dethroned just yet.

I wonder if there are other people frustrated with the massive hesitation that both romantic characters faced throughout the series...

As far as I can tell, I"d REALLY rather have Sousuke with Captain Tessa because she's got more nerve than Chidori ever will.
