Well, from the forum rules...
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Well then I'd humbly ask that http://tricky.desu.org be removed from the database, as it violates all of the rules that you have pointed out.

Well if we removed all the videos that broke at least one of those rules, we'd have maybe 1000 videos left. I think yours can stay.

I would just like to say, in the very begining of my editing experience I would download several videos using the same anime and use them as source becasue I do not have a capture card, then I was shown how to rip dvd's so that has ended, but I would never take transitions, to me the way you transition is in essence your style and I cramp no mans style!

What do you do when someone's breaking rules 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 all at once? And, heck, rule #1 as well, since attempting to communicate with her outside the site has failed as well?

Is she a new member? If she is, would you mind giving me a link to her profile (you can pm me if you aren't ready to make it public). I wouldn't be surprised if she's a certain person I know who recently made a new account and started repeating the exact same thing again. ^_^;;Starherd wrote:What do you do when someone's breaking rules 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 all at once? Regardless, the best you can do is give the links so people can see for themselves and make their own opinion on the matter. Sort of an 'airing' of the amvs. If she realizes it's wrong to steal people's videos, chances are she'll ask that the video be taken down (if it's local). That's about the best you can hope for since there's no way to enforce the 'no theft' policy on this site. A.K.A - they can't delete a video even if it's obviously a copy. Don't ask me why, it's been gone over in this very thread.

They've been a member since November of last year...
For reference, <A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 54">here's Kasra's "A Killer Smile" video</a>, which is what's been plagiarized the most (from us).
This all started with <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 7372">this video</A> (only recently posted here - this started on an LJ group). It thanks us (WTF Productions) at the end, but used some of Kasra's most heavily edited footage with impunity. When we called her on it, and said, "Why didn't you just ask? We've got our contact info up for all to see", our response was deleted. So we made a separate post. The offender disappeared and didn't respond.
Then... <A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... 72">"Young Killers Smiles"</a> appeared. Which was just childish. It's pretty much Kasra's "A Killer Smile" with Kumagarou's <A HREF="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... ">"Comfort Through Weiss"</a> spliced in, including footage that was run through filters for that vid. Not even the song is changed.
The sad thing is that, even though she displays some decent vidding talent, she keeps wasting her time ripping footage off from people - not just Kasra, and heavily edited and obvious stuff (Muraki in makeup, for crying out loud!), not just plain old footage - and seems to be too proud to ever ask permission. We've tried communicating with her - we'd be willing to *send* her footage if she'd apologize at least for that petty "Young Killers Smiles" vid - but no dice, she'd rather tell us about how we're stupid and should just go away. o_O

I've never posted a vid, but I've been part of the 'Org for years. I've seen the changes throughout the off topic section, and it's final removal. When the Golden Donut campaign was started, i was all for it, but broke. Same with the dangling carrot. I also decided that I wouldn't upload without a contribution, so I've been diligently slaving away on my vids, pumping them out about every six months or so.
I'm up to eight vids now, and suddenly, i see this thread, and I'm like what the fuck? When I make a vid, it's pretty painful. every second of footage is peeled from me. Oh, a labor of love.
Even though every single one of my vids is a load of crap, and nowhere near standards I've seen in video quality and AMV groovyness... They're mine. If this was a situation in fleshspace, i'd pound the offending otaku until his skull was mush. Everything i work for, everything I commit to, I give 100% and for someone to rip it off, slap a label on it like "Oh, I made this vid, blah blah blah" makes me fucking furious. Yes, the footage isn't mine. Yes, the song isn't mine. but the effort in making the two to mesh, that's mine. for someone to trivialize that... *sigh* it's so pathetic.
