I can totally see an Akira or Neon Genesis movie being done by the Wachowski brothers. Neon Genesis in particular, since it has a lot in common with the matrix (complex themes, tons of biblical references, action scenes, etc)... Just hope they wont pick Keanu reeves as the role of shinji....*shudders*

If there ever is an Akira movie, (and I'm crossing my fingers) I just want two actors who can yell "TETSUO!!" and "KANEDA!!" really really well.

Both are already being made.
The Evangelion movie is being made in Japan, but is taking a hell of a long time to make.
Akira is being Americanized. Taking place in New York City, it will be split into two movies, going by the Manga's storyline.

Somehow I'm not surprised that Neon Genesis is in development hell.

Well I knew that much, I just wish it was the Wachowski Brothers working on it. They managed to make a movie out of Speed Racer, so a movie with an actual plot to it would be a walk in the park.

The Americanizing shouldn't be too bad (hopefully), just so long as the plot is the same and the action scenes are still awesome. My only problem is that they're probably going to be yelling "THOMAS!!" and "KEVIN!!"*

XD

*I really hope this doesn't happen. Actually, I think they might be keeping the original names.

I always thought that Gundam Wing could be a decent live action movie. It has just always seemed to click in my head. I think a Gundam Wing (or any Gundam for that matter) movie would appeal to both anime and non-anime lovers. I could see it being a trilogy.

MAKE A BLACK LAGOON AND AN UPDATED CITY HUNTER MOVIE RELEASE!

YOU KNOW THEY'D WORK!

GTO would make a decent comedy but if an anime were to turn live, Black Lagoon is on my guarunteed to rock list if the directors of the good James Bond, Bourne, or John Woo would do it...

oh yeah
