i dont really think its fair about the extension =/

some of us worked hard and got it done on time, if we had known we would have the extra time we might have gone with another idea.

i think for the people who had theirs in on time, we should at least get 1-2 extra points.

You're more than welcome to keep editing. Just because you sent in a video doesn't mean that you have to stop. Just send in your newly edited video if you want to keep editing. You have no disadvantages because of the extension. It's all up to you if you want to continue editing, not mine. Nothing's stopping you.

About a year ago, my cat knocked a cup off my desk, right onto my tower...which happens to have a fan in the top of it. Liquid went right down and straight onto my video card. After that, I moved my tower under my desk and never left a cup unattended. I still haven't forgiven him...

If I didn't get an extension I was going to grab the very first anime scene I found, dump it on the very first audio I found, then loop it until it was a minute and a half long and turn it in by the original deadline. I would hope for enough dropouts to get to the second round by default. Since 5 other people couldn't make the deadline, that tactic could have actually worked. Would you be happy if a total piece of shit like that got just as far as you, thus proving your effort to be meaningless? If the original deadline was firm, over one fourth the people would have dropped out. Far better to extend the deadline a few days to keep the competition lively and make winning mean something.
