The Vent Thread

I'm sick of not having my own place. Living at my uncle's apartment with all om my stuff thrown into a garage. Pretty much hate my work and it's only a part-time job which leads to not having much money. Searching for new apartments everyday but in this city it's more likely to become a millionaire than finding an apartment. Searching for a new job also but there's not much to choose between. Have absolutely zero motivation and don't know what to do with my life. My best friend moved abroad and my relationship is going to hell. Want to do something drastic but don't have the guts. Also started studying 2 languages but are now 4 weeks after in BOTH of them.

The thing that bothers me the most though is not having any motivation to do anything. Not even the things that I like, like editing, drawing, reading, watching anime.. not even eating. All I want to do lately is to sleep. I think I'm depressed, took a test and it said "many of your answers indicates that you're depressed, you don't have to feel this way."

If I just could get a new own place, then I could start all over. I need that right now, to do a proper restart.

Conversely, I wish I could will myself to sleep any time for as long as I want to. Sleep is pretty much the best thing in life. I'm not even kidding. There's nothing I like as much as good, peaceful, dreamless sleep. For all the ways life when awake fucks me over, life is perfect when I'm asleep.

Unfortunately I'm again not getting any tonight
Brain has essentially gone into work mode for me a couple of weeks ago and resulted in several nights where I was far too absorbed in work or just excited/stressed/concerned about it and that sent me on an ever-devolving cycle of really bad sleep. I'm again living on more or less a 26-hour day

Exactly! Sleep is awesome, but so is staying up. Maybe if we could sleep as a pleasure thing, but not necessarily need it?

Leh Sigh. Slightly overwhelmed this week with school, work, tax deadline and trying to hire somebody else, but got another job interview for another company out of state [WEWT]. So it's kind of leaning like "vent" more than "good", so hence.

People on LJ are grossly oversensitive. I compared a man who beat off two woman who were attacking him at a mcdonald's with having the mental state of any person who is getting attacked. This may include going a little too far with how they retaliate in self defense, but it doesn't make them in the wrong. I made an example of how a woman who was constantly beaten by her husband many times almost to the point of death retaliated and stabbed him fifty six times, and a prosecutor tried to say she should be charged with murder because it was "overkill". I made a point of saying that she was scared for her life and in the middle of attacking him she wasn't thinking clearly, so of course she might have went "overboard" but that doesn't mean she was in the wrong.

Then all of a sudden someone says I was sick for comparing a battered woman to a cashier being attacked by two crazy ass women at a mcdonalds and that I CONDONE WIFE BEATING, all of a sudden.
