How to...?
I truly apologize if I posted this in the wrong section as I am new here in animemusicvideos.org or making AMVs.
So there are lot of people I respect a lot and their editing. Some of them are really complicated and some of them are the effects I have never seen before and this is what I need help with.
I was watching this video on youtube by an guy named 'gregz' and lot of you should know about him. This is the video I was watching and I want to know which effect he used between these time periods: 0:18 - 0:34
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5_QZbG87LM
It's the blur that he uses. That is a really awesome technique and I would love to know how to do it on Sony Vegas Pro 9.0 (I don't use After effects, sorry)
If anyone could help me with this then I would be really grateful.
Regards.

Re: How to...?
I can't say how to do it in Sony since I use After Effects, but the effect he's using is a Radial Fast Blur in After effects.

Re: How to...?
That is debatable since hes a popular on youtube and they dont tend to become involved much with the org.guy named 'gregz' and lot of you should know about him.
Anyways back to the blur, hes just using a normal gaussian blur. But you may be talking about the RBG shift which is done by Twitch in After Effects and there is no easy method in Sony Vegas.

Re: How to...?
Agreed, most people on youtube dont search around more for cooler AMVs like the ones here in the org. They just assume that Gregz is the best because of his subscriber amount which i think is totally irrelevant.Vanity wrote:honestly the use of the effects are very bad in his video.

Re: How to...?
there is like probaly 100 ppl who claim their editors who all use the same technique & they get like 1000 subscribers who dont know a good amv if they seen one. it's sad.

Total effects overload, grunge layers and Twitch x 100 is the M.O. for a lot of popular YouTube editors.
