AVCON 2013 AMV Competition (winners and runner ups!)

Greetings fellow editors!

AVCON 2013 - The Anime and Video Games Convention of South Australia is almost here!

I'm here to announce that entry into the AVCON 2013 AMV Competition is now open!

This year we will only be doing a main AMV competition and will not be doing an Iron Editor based event.

This year's event will be open to both Australian and International entries so send us your best work!

I've set the cut off for entries as Midnight July 5th 2013 Australian Central Standard Time.

And for those who want their video to be aired but dont want to enter the competition, feel free to pm me links to your video and I will air them during the screenings session.

Whilst this year will be mostly online submissions, if you would prefer to submit a hard copy instead, feel free to pm me or email me at severamv@gmail.com.

Hi all,

First off, I must apologise for some of the issues we had during the day. We will aim to make sure these issues do not re appear in the future.

Thank you all for submitting your entries!
There were many good entries for the competition this year. In fact, we had so many that we simply weren't able to air them all so we had contacted most of the entrants and had them choose which video of theirs to air.

This year, there were four categories for the competition and the four winner will receive a prize pack.

This prize pack contains a trophy plus a $50 voucher that they can spend online at http://www.madman.com.au on anything ranging from anime, to manga, to live action films. Thanks Madman Entertainment!

For all of the categories, it was a very difficult choice as to which video would win as there were many good submissions. Even the audience had difficulty deciding, with a difference of 5 votes between the top 3 in the fan favourite award.
