Concept Idea, After Effects

Post by Rice » Fri Jan 24, 2014 8:59 pm

Hello,

I would like to know if it's possible to create a seamless zoom out in after effects. Currently I'm doing everything with the effect called cc repetile with horizontal and vertical edges reflected so I can get the effect down for the most part. But it won't work for all scenes, let's say I have a scene with an anime face but it fills up a large portion of the screen, but now if use repetile it will definitely repeat the face on screen and appear tiled which is unwanted. Is there a way to have the edges repeat with the same pixels but then spread out into an array of stretched colors? (bad explanation) but say you start expanding the edges with the same pixels and it keeps on going outward in variation but not tiled such as the original clip.
It'd be cool if you figured it out, if not, it's not a huge deal. Thanks

I use After Effects CS4, but i also have access to CS5, CS6, and a multitude of scripts and plugins, so if you need extra stuff it won't hurt me.
Thanks again,
Rice
