Ripping voices?

Post by Sephirothskr » Sun Aug 10, 2014 12:23 am

How on earth do I take a voice from an anime and not have its background music in the sound clip. This is aggravating...

I don't believe that there's any way to do this.

Thanks. I see videos doing it and I'm like it works well for them because their song is loud and powerful, this one is sad and quiet.

You could try some these methods using Audacity. I used the plug-in it recommended for a couple parts in my latest video. The sound file that came out didn't come out too pretty, but it doesn't seem anyone's noticed yet :awesome: , so either it the sound covered up the ugly background sounds that were left or people have just been nice.

I've been wondering this for years, seems like the best way to do for free is Audacity and it's still far from perfect

The easy thing to do is search for something without background music in the first place.

Then there's the audio-techniques which I use for Voice-Instrument isolation. One thing would be to find the soundtrack, then make it the same loudness and resolution as it exists in your source, invert the signal and thus you'll end up removing the music from the clip. Then there's the way of doing it manually by isolating frequencies and stereobands (Mashtactic is easy to use here if you don't know how to use EQs and Stereoshapers).
But that can sound shit if you don't know what you're doing - it also depends on what you plan to use that resulting vocal sample in.

All this is more to say - there's just no easy way
