Hello all!
I'm sorry if this is posted in the wrong place, but I'm looking for some help with Sony Vegas Pro 12.
I've pretty much just stuck to rendering in .WMV (I realize that's not exactly ideal...) but every time I've tried rendering in anything else, there's always glitches.
So, I was hoping maybe someone would be willing to share their settings for rendering in MP4 on Vegas? (Preferably 12)
I would really, really, really appreciate it!!!
Sorry for any inconvenience! Thanks!
P.S.
Sorry if this question has already been answered, I noticed there was one for AVI but it's a few years old and I'd rather render in MP4, but AVI settings are also welcome...
I'm still kind of new to posting on the forum, sorry...

Re: MP4 Render Settings SV12?
It's okay, that's what the forums are here for~
Anyway, as for your question - from SV for the best quality results, you should first render to lossless avi (UT Video is all the hype now, or the older Lagarith still works - produces a file of about 300 - 500MB per minute) and then encode the lossless avi to mp4 in some encoding software (ZarxGUI, likely, produces the final mp4 of about 10MB per minute).
There is a nice guide for the whole AMV making process located here: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech31/
For you, the most important parts are:
getting the AMVApp to be able to render into UT Video, have the Avisynth for encoding and other things: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html
rendering: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... xport.html
encoding: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... 64gui.html

Thanks, but I'm actually NOT interested in downloading any software and encoding! I'd rather just straight render as all that stuff is just too much for me and I'm too busy to worry about it.
(Also, I've been editing since 2005 so...thanks for the links though.)
A friend ended up telling me her settings for MP4, so it's fine now~
Thanks though!

Ah, I see. Well, you don't really see inside of SV settings (it does render and encode too, it's just hidden under the hood), so many people choose to do it separately, because of better control. But I understand for some the ease of work is important too. Just glad you fixed it and hope to see your new vids! ^^

Re: MP4 Render Settings SV12?
I highly discourage downloading AMVapp as it is so out of date it is counter productive. AMVpack contains up to date software and was created to replace AMVapp.Nya-chan Production wrote:getting the AMVApp to be able to render into UT Video, have the Avisynth for encoding and other things: http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... mvapp.html

Thanks for updating my info, I am a bit out of the loop anyway in this regard (usually try to find everything from AMVApp manually).l33tmeatwad wrote:I highly discourage downloading AMVapp as it is so out of date it is counter productive.
