I have a few AMV ideas in mind, but I have questions for each idea. Just wondering what you all think would work for an AMV contest.
*"Phoenix" by Fall Out Boys: Heard the song during the Katsucon 2015 AMV contest. Thinking of doing a magical girl transformation and attack for footage, or various anime shows that match the lyrics since the song talks about remixes. My two concerns are that the AMV might not have a story to it, not sure whether to focus on a few anime shows or many, or the song has been used before, so is it a bad idea to use this song? Which idea would stand out more, the various anime footage to match the lyrics, or the magical girls? Is it okay to use many different anime shows, or stick with just a few? I'll definitely shorten the song since it's a bit repetitive.
*"My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark" by Fall Out Boys: Heard this song at Katsucon 2014 AMV contest. Also found a really cool remix on Youtube, so might ask the editor for permission to use it in an AMV, and mix the original and the remix together. But since the song has been used already is that a bad idea? For anime footage I would like to do something with fire, a character that has gone through trials that made him or her stronger, but what's a good popular anime that fits that description?
*"White Noise" by PVRIS: Heard it at Hot Topic one day, and fell in love with the song. It's slow compared to what I'm used to, but the song hasn't been used before I don't think. Thinking of using the anime "The Pet Girl of Sakurasou", but what would be a good anime that fits the lyrics of being ignored and calling out to someone but they're not listening? Or is this song not very interesting?
*"Hero" by Skillet: Saw someone do an excellent Sword Art Online to this song on Youtube, so might do a Sword Art Online/Accel World AMV with the main characters fighting and receiving support from the partnering main characters, or KiritoxAsuna and HaruxKuroyukihime. Not sure if it would stand out though because SAO is a bit over-used with AMV's, and not sure if Accel World is familiar enough. What do you all think?
*"Until The Love Runs Out" by One Republic: Got a really cool idea to do Kill La Kill with the idea of until the blood runs out. But the lyrics seem a bit repetitive, so I'll definitely shorten the song. But not sure if it's a super strong idea for an AMV, or it might not make sense to the audience. Good idea or no?

Oh, I see. I went ahead and did an Accel World AMV, but changed the song to Warriors by Imagine Dragons.
