Fatal Psyche

Post by Tribel » Wed Aug 24, 2016 11:28 pm

So this video has been 2 months in the making and still has a lot of flaws that I would like to have fixed. Unfortunately, a lot of scenes got really messed up after I migrated to a new version of Premiere and I couldn't save them all. I replaced the worst ones and fixed a few more, but after spending a week or more working around encoding crashes and other Premiere export issues, I am done with this project whether it's good enough or not. xD

I would also like to thank my beta testers!

I got really into this one, very engaging. My only gripe is that it ended very suddenly.

This was pretty good. Next time I would suggest varying up the syncs because if you follow the 1 2 1 2 pattern this song has it gets kinda boring and predictable. Also ditch using cross fades, cross fades need a lot to look right and just sticking them in isn't going to help make a sync seem better. With such distinct syncs I think a straight cut with no effects would have a better effect.

I had every intention of using the whole song, but I got tired of premiere errors and shit. It did end way too soon after the chorus ramped down though and I can definitely see that now.

Thx for dropping a comment!

I mostly used the 4 frame defocus dissolves to soften the cuts because the scene changes were a little harsh sometimes. But if they seem out of place, I'll definitely rethink them next time.

As always, thx for taking the time to comment!
