Good morning fellow AMV makers and fans,
today i wanted to share my newest AMV starring the 2009 TV-Series of the Monogatari-Series by Nisio Isin.
I found the colors to be quite remarkable when watching it and had to make a theme out of it. I also got my hands on a lot of new effects in the software, this edit mostly uses masking, keying and layering.

Any feedback well appreciated,
thanks for watching and glad if it's enjoyable

Pretty solid vid i like how you utilised text it\s the main thing that sticks this vid nicely together i think. Nice sync. I think alot of color grading feels off tho or too strong (ex: end of vid) Kinda unnecessary i think

I really like this. The text motif is really interesting and I enjoy all the psychedelic overlays and color manipulation you did throughout. It has a very trippy feel and is visually fascinating from beginning to end. My only hangup was the use of the really violent scenes near the end, simply because they felt a bit out-of-place with the mood you were establishing throughout the rest of the video.
Still, this is a really unique video and also props for using your own music -- I like it!

Very creative video. I wish more editors in search of the perfect a e s t h e t i c AMV would be so disciplined. Pick a concept or two and just stick with it. If it's meant to be clean and pretty, try to do that. If it's meant to be grungy or "lo-fi," try to do that, etc.
Even without the text and effects and psychedelia, the basic editing here is really effective. I do agree with CTS that the violent scenes feel somehow out of place after everything that's come before them, but I'm well aware of how much more violent scenes you chose to leave out, so it's not really a dealbreaker for me.
Really good stuff.
