Matsuricon 2022 V.E.S. AMV Contest - Winners Announced

After a 2-year hiatus (due to a certain pandemic), the Matsuricon V.E.S. AMV contest is back for the 2022 convention season. Just in case you forgot (and that would be understandable) Matsuricon is held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel & Greater Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH USA for 3 days every August. August 12th - 14th, 2022 to be precise. And V.E.S. stands for Video Entertainment Showcase, providing Matsuricon’s AMV showcase for the con. It’s been a couple of years since we’ve held our contest. And trust us when we say, we've missed seeing everyone’s AMVs.

So here are a few things to get this started:

Registration starts on April 2nd, 2022, ends EOD July 15th, 2022

Throwing in a bump to announce we have a month and a half left for registration. We need videos in all categories. Though especially Trailer and 18+ videos.

One more thing for everyone. Life is getting in the way and thus contributing to delaying our responses. I'll however try to make sure all registrations are at least acknowledged via email as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone that has submitted for your patience in my response.

To everyone watching this thread, and have submitted to this contest, first thank you again for your registrations and your patience while these videos are reviewed. We have completed the judges screening and scoring. And the final set lists are now available below. But first, just as a reminder, Matsuricon 2022 will have three main AMV events this year. Our current itinerary is as follows.

An Exhibition of Entries to the Matsuricon 2022 V.E.S. AMV Contest - Friday August the 12th from 7 PM to 11 PM in the Greater Columbus Convention Center room C150

The Ghost of 2020(2021) AMV Contest (or the Sports AMV showcase for the con that never was) - Saturday August 13tth at 11 AM, in the V.E.S. room, the Greater Columbus Convention Center Room C150

V.E.S. Presents the Matsuricon 2022 AMV Contest - Saturday August 13th at 2:45 PM Ball 1&2 in the Hyatt/Greater Columbus Convention Center
