To help the community easily identify the coordinators and AMV Events that have proven to be both trustworthy and reliable, I'm implementing a "Verified Coordinator" role. Those who have this role have proven that they are capable of running a successful event, and also meet all of the specified requirements. Their usernames will also be displayed in a Bold Dark Blue Font along with a star as their topic icons.
Example:
*Please note that the lack of a verification role doesn't necessarily mean that an event is unworthy of your participation. The coordinator may have simply not applied for the status yet, may be too new to qualify, or have a technical reason for not qualifying. We recommend that you look at the coordinator's past events before excluding them from your consideration.
Verification Requirements:
- Is a current and active coordinator of a competition.
People who are solely programming heads or assistant directors do not qualify.
- - Must have 3+ years of experience running a successful contest.
OR at least one year of experience and has a strong presence and positive involvement in the community.
- - Has a good track record of announcing finalists and winners of their events and following through with commitments.
- - Has a good track record of not misusing entrants' personal data such as real name, address, and contact info.
- - Has maintained positive communication with entrants before and after their event.
- - Has exhibited professional behavior befitting their role.
Someone's status can be temporarily or permanently removed or withheld for the following reasons.
- Creating Submission threads on behalf of another coordinator or event that you are not directly involved in.
- Consecutive years of not meeting the initial verification requirements.
- Involvement in activity that undermines the legitimacy of your event or your reputation.
