Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

What do I have to do to be taken serious?

Post by DuoEnigma » Tue Sep 23, 2003 5:51 pm

As the subject saids, what do i have to do to be taken serious? Yes I am a NOOB!!! But damn its hard to get opinions, not that I am asking for none here.

I just made my "FIRST" AMV. Please don't let it discourage you. I didn't put in random clips, I didn't use fansubs, I used premiere, photoshop and after effects to make this video. I used 34 avs files, How many NOOBS you know go through that much just to make a AMV?

I already send it out to two conventions and they were already accepted. ( I hope I win an award, if not I can live with that, I will still continue to make them ) Here is a link to my video.

Any feedback is welcome good or bad I don't care just as long as it has creative criticism in them. ( Again I am not asking for none, I am just announcing my AMV )

I think it's because your video wasn't funny or had a lot of fanservice in it. Those videos get opinions a lot more easier than other categories and it doesn't hurt, if you've done mind blowing AMVs in the past. After that the reputation alone is enough to get opinions. That's just something you have to live with.

I'm also fighting to get some opinions to my latest AMV, so it's just our newcomers problem.

BTW did you just double post in the same post?

I was just wondering about it because almost every forums has it. It's easy for a foreigner to make a really big typo or a misunderstanging when posting in another language.
