What's the market for Popotan?

Gratuitous panty shots and lots of breasts with nipples, little girl plots of friendship, character names of Ai, Mai, Mi, and Mea (latin for me), and a series allegory of pursuing life's challenges vs. dropping out into a comfortable rut.

Is this aimed at dirty old philosophers? 10 year old lesbians?

Does the japanese family gather around the tube on Tuesday nights, Dad taking in the T and A, Mom and Sis basking in the warmth, and Junior using the allegory for his college paper?

Ok sorry about the blank post. Popotans target audience has to be perverts that think they are little girls? I'm kind of confused on this one. The older one has sex with the white haired guy should that be on a kids show? But then at the end of every episode you got the dandelion song and unagi saying "was I cute today" Just very confusing.

Yeah, I guess you're right. It just seems to have a lot of substance and warm fuzzies. It guess today's ecchi are more sophisticated and demanding.

I'm reminded of an insightful review of Ah! Megami Sama, "Belldandy for those who want to have sex with their mothers, Urd for those who want to have sex with their big sisters, and Skuld for those who want to have sex with their little sisters".

In this case though, I think it's mother, sister, and daughter. And I suppose the maid is kind of a dominatrix type.

Chobits has quite an interesting story line also. Well, it's nice to know that you can kill two birds with one stone. I always thought there was no reason porno had to be so flat and boring.

I am confused as to how Mii liking to rub her face on plushies (stuffed animals, young Daishi's cheeks, Ai's breasts, etc.) constitutes being a lesbian? She doesnt rub her cheeks on Mai or Mea (no plushies).

First I do understand that the show is based off of a Henati game.

In the show the rest of the characters were suprised Ai slept with Keith since it was very uncharacteristic of her. She would not be the first woman seduced by a smooth talking asshole, especially since I consider Ai to be a bit naieve and inexperienced to such things.

My favorite in the show was Mea and Mai. I cant get the image out of my mind of when Mea offered the guy full sevice at the ince cream stand and when the guy asked what the full service was Mea while standing on one leg stuck her other leg straight up and put her knee next to her head.

And since their was no sex and not much in the way of fanservice IMHO in AMG I am suprised at the incest references. Belldandy is the nice innocent traditional values type and Urd is the wild and crazy type. Skuld is just a loveable brat. She is the only one I could see in a little sister complex.

There is a reason AMG is so highly rated and even if you cut the nudity out of Popotan I think it would be a good anime. Has lots of funny bits, cute girls, and even has some sad and touching moments.
