Who's in a band??
And I don't mean like a school band or anything. I mean like local garage band style. Or maybe your bigger.
I finally started my own band after being in about 5 or so. This one's good. I sing and play piano. And we got a drummer, bass, rythm guitar and lead guitarist who also sings as well. We had our first practice and played through 10 songs in 2 hours. Including time for breaks and jam sessions. And most of the chord progressions I made up on the spot.
Were called "Lost In A Sense" And its mostly Emo rock and jazzy freetunes. But we do some metal too.
But none the less...who's also in band?? What's it like??
And what about using songs you write and your band does, for an AMV??
I already got one in the works.

I'm the frontman, vocalist, and lyricist for my melodic deathish doom metal band, Animalistic. Unfortunately, I don't live in a big metal area, so my band doesn't really go anywhere. We do some shows but it's mostly rap, pop-punk, and mallcore around here. There are three good metal bands around here and mine's one of them, even though we don't do enough shows to get recognition. We haven't even cut an album because the recording studios around here are assholes.

I'm lead guitar in a hard to categorize style band. It's definatly metal, but I can't quite put my finger on what style.

I used to be in a band when I was 14. Played drums. I played 2 shows with them before I ended up having to move. Although, they ended up replacing me and stayed together for around 4 years. Never got signed, but enjoyed a great deal of local fandom, playing shows every couple weeks around the state.
I want to start a band again :\ Though I havent touched a drumset since then. So yeah, 7 years out of practice O_O. I'm learning guitar now though, and I've written many songs (lyric-wise, and have recorded myself singing the melodies).

I'm not in a band ... but if i had any faith in my ability to play guitar i'd either be a lead guitarist or a rythm guitarist (after i learn how to count ...)
A few of my friends however are in bands. My friend Kevin was a drummer in 3 bands at one time, Apostrophe, Tumor and Reprocussion. For teh last ... 2 years he's been playing with Apostrophe ... Tumor and Reprocusion kind of disapeared ... They play a kind of psychedelic/alternative/funk. Really good live band, they have an EP, but it's being independantly distributed (as in kevin burns one and sell it.)
theres a few songs available on their website, check them out.

I'm not in band, but I live the life.
I'm news/media, don't work for anyone but myself. (As in, no, I don't interview bands and shit for MTV. We have our own website and I'm the webmaster).
I'll be chilling with Fall Out Boy tonight.
I play drums and I'm fairly good, I've had private lessons with Chris Knapp and Travis Barker. I'd like to start a band, but not until I'm settled down and living where I want to live. I may start one in about 6 months when I have my own apartment in Seal or Long Beach.
