FFDshow and macs
Is there a version of FFDshow for macs? I've been looking on google and havn't been able to find anything. Or what will play videos on a mac that are encoded with ffdshow?

MAC's are limited by Codec's, only packages are available at this time would be:
http://www.videohelp.com/tools
http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=FFusion is the only package that I see! ??
hmmm . . might want to try http://free-codecs.com/Video_Codecs.htm and
see if they have any MAC-packs for FDDshow - I'm not seeing anything

VLC is the player I use for everything on my Powerbook. I know some other people use MPlayer. Both have the needed codecs built-in and both work excellently.

There is also FFusion: http://aldorandenet.free.fr/codecs/ which will allow you to play XviD files in QuickTime. 3ivx can do this, too: http://www.3ivx.com/download/macos.html . I also heard the latest version of the DivX 5.21 codec can do this too but I haven't checked.
If you prefer others aside from QuickTime, there are VLC: http://www.videolan.org or MPlayerOSX: http://mplayerosx.sourceforge.net/
