Hello Ch@nTy,
Make sure your friend has the latest version of whatever codec you used to compress your video. If you used Windows Media, make sure the newest version of Windows Media installed, which is 10. If you used DivX, try DivX 5.2.1. For XviD, try ffdshow. If your friend is using a Mac, try using FFusion or 3ivx components.
Or ... you can try VLC for Mac, Windows, and a billion other OS-es: www.videolan.org . VLC will play [almost] everything.

I know you're talking about the player and not the actual codec, because at present WMV10 doesn't exist; but assuming a viewer has the WMV9 codec for WMP7+ installed, an upgrade to WMP10 isn't necessary.KirinRiotCrash wrote:If you used Windows Media, make sure the newest version of Windows Media installed, which is 10.

You're right. I'm not aware of of a WMV10 codec out there ... But I found MS' Windows Media Player to be weird sometimes.
Usually though, I make it a habit to upgrade 'everything' to the newest version. You'd never know what kind of bugs (or security holes in the case of most MS apps) have been patched.

Or just uninstall WMP completely and use programs such as media player classic, bsplayer and vlan media player. Along with ffdshow and a few other codecs, then you're fine.
I haven't used WMP in probably 4 months... Except for the occasional AMV, but that doesn't count |:

Thanks...but...
Thanks I got the idea...
So I every people that want to see my AMV has to have the codec I used to made it...
How can I make it visible for everybody? so they can see my AMV just with a simple WMplayer v9 or v10
I used XVID to compress it by the way...
Thanks for All
