Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

*** And now about this video project... ***

Imagine all of the highlights of DragonBall Z, set to a custom remix of Darude's "Sandstorm." Further imagine... that it doesn't suck. "DOOMRIDER" is yet another collaborative anime music video project, in the same vein as many others. Individual editors get individual parts of a song, edit the entire length of their audio, and send their mini-videos back to the coordinators. The coordinators then take the pieces and splice it all back together to form one giant music video.

So what makes this project different?

For one thing, it's an attempt to make "the" DBZ video. Talented editors who enjoy the show (some of which are already well known for DBZ music videos and fansites over the last many years) come together to make a DBZ video that... well... doesn't suck. The entire length of DBZ's drama & action (a full 291 episodes) brought down to a seizure-inducing 8 minutes 52 seconds... could you really ask for much more?

After countless delays, at least nine track replacements, and eventual domestic/Japanese DVD releases... the project was completed. A few editors doubled-up on tracks (some simply to get it near-complete in time for AWA 2005)... but it's done. It's done, it's fantastic, and we really couldn't have asked for much more. Hopefully you will enjoy the project just as much as we enjoyed creating it.

And now, as we collapse into a deep, exhausted sleep, we leave you with the full credits and our gratitude for checking out the video.

Get in touch with Mike, and he'll send it to you over AIM.

Hope y'all like the project! It was tons of fun to work on (especially when you know and love the source footage so much :D).
