X AMVs

Post by khokokatt » Wed Aug 03, 2005 2:21 pm

Ok, I've been trying to find a really good X amv for a long time now. And last face it, none of them are that great. Sure, I've seen a few that are good, but nothing amasing. I really want help finding one. If you know of a good X amv, please post it here. :)

*squints at horrifically small text*

Do you want AMVs with X TV or the the X/1999 movie? Nonetheless, check out this X TV video I recently found:

While I do agree that the number of truly great X videos is low, I do have quite a few good ones. Out of laziness, though, I'll give you one of my favorite ones for now. If I get some motivation, I might list more later.

Lord's Prayer

Gorgeous visuals, great editing, but not much of a plot. It's basically pretty pictures put to dramatic music.

Enjoy!

Hmm... I'm working on an X video. Or two. :P

You've probably already seen Touched. It's been around for a while, and it's the first (and one of the few) X amvs that I've watched.

It's been a year since End of All Hope competed at Otakon, but Senta still hasn't put it up for download. :(

Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

Here's another classic. Hakura's Children of Fate.

If you're thinking like, a top 10% or convention winning X TV vid, there isn't one. Lord's Prayer is good in that there's nothing especially wrong with it, but it's just a bunch of images. Das Omen is not that great. The one in that signature (If you broke the silence) is one of the best I've seen but it still isn't really great. I'm sorry to say (as I love X, it's one of my favorite anime of all time and I own the whole series) that there really isn't great X AMV out there.

The best I can say for you is that people could be making one right now, and once I'm done with the Ghost in the Shell AMV I'm making right now (a bit of a sequel to the one down in my sig) I'll be making which I *will not let* be bad, because I love X too much. You can see the quality of videos I make by checking mine out, and if you don't like the slow pace of it then don't worry, I'll be using a much different song for my X AMV.

The End is the Beginning of X is the best X AMV I've seen so far, but it uses only the movie. It was in the top 10% list when I downloaded it, but I don't think it's up there anymore.

Sadly, I agree that there is a lack of really, really good X AMVs.
