Hey All,
I’ve made some updates to various site sections. The convention / contest calendar has been improved. The calendar has color coding for the different types of events. (The information is currently being cleaned, so there may be duplicate entries as of now.) Convention coordinators can now “own” the con information and thus confirm/deny video participation at the con and also lock contests once all entries have been added.
For donators, there is now an option on the “edit my profile” page for external promotions (ads on the download page). If you want to further help out the site by viewing promotions or you are just curious to see what pops up, you can turn them on and off there.
If you see anything broken, let me know ASAP. Thanks again and have fun!!

Re: Various Site Updates
Is this retroactive? It'd be nice if we could finally start to clean up all of those false entries...Phade wrote:Hey All,

If contest organizers are starting to clear up false entries, I would like to see a clear definition of "participating in a contest" for instance on the Edit Video Info page 5. I list every contest I have sent a video to, but some people only list a contest if their video is actually shown there.Phade wrote:Hey All,

Hey,
dokool: The convention owners can be assigned to each convention. By default, there is no owner since we didn't track who entered the information (this was really really really old code). If you are the owner of a con, please email us at admin@animemusicvideos.org [I don't think that's the right email address! -derobert] [Email address now corrected]
TaranT: Yeah, that's an initial side effect. When the code was originally written years ago, it was assumed that one convention had one contest. That has proven to be false. Now that there are seperate tables for the convention and contest information, there had to be something as the default name for each. It turns out that the titles are one in the same until we clean them up. We're working on it...
Janzki: Generally, a video participates in a contest if the entry is accepted and displayed in that contest. For now, it is technically up to the contest coordinator to make that determination.
I hope this helps.
