Naruto Manga
Do you guys or girls think they'll eventually speed up the release dates on the graphic novels for Naruto? because 4 months between each one is a little harsh in my opinion. At this rate, vol. 24 wont be out till 2011.

They only do that because Shonen Jump only releases 2-3 chapters a month, and they won't release the GN until they are at least halfway through the next one.
This is my biggest concern. At this rate, the anime will surpass it by the end of 2006 or the beginning of 2007. Japan gets one chapter a week, meaning they get 4 a month. Shone Jump should at least make it so we get 4 a month, rather than 2-3. This is the reason why every anime surpasses the manga so easily. Yugioh is about to surpass the Millenium World manga, meaning SJ will only be ahead in Naruto and Hikaru no Go. And, with the releases of those anime now present, it won't be too long before they are surpassed as well.

Is this still true given that they've already announced that Naruto's next season (from now through March) is going to be filler episodes? I was under the impression that this will give some time for the manga to get ahead of the anime...HyperTails wrote:They only do that because Shonen Jump only releases 2-3 chapters a month, and they won't release the GN until they are at least halfway through the next one.

Yes it is, but I was referring to the English version.dokool wrote:Is this still true given that they've already announced that Naruto's next season (from now through March) is going to be filler episodes? Rurouni Kenshin used to be in Shonen Jump, I think. It used to only come out once every three months or so on the manga shelves, but now it comes out once a month and is currently on volume 19. The anime is comepletely out, though. So the answer to the original question, I believe is that the anime will be over with long before the manga is finished. I do, however, think that that might change due to Naruto's stunning popularity. I remember when I was off reading it and none of my random otaku friends knew about it, and all the sudden they became "Narutards" very soon after it came out into mainstream anime. Perhaps since there are so many Naruto fans in America, they might speed up the production of the manga. But if that plan conflicts with publishing rights or something crazy like that, maybe it won't happen. In conclusion, just have patience, maybe we'll get a break sooner or later. ^_^ (and I pray we do...need to see Gaara in action very soon...volume 7 wasn't enough...)
Dragons can be good or bad. Care to guess which path I follow?
