What's your fav anime, and why? [split]

Lets put this simply as possible. Un less your going to contribute to keep this thread ON-TOPIC, don't post. Why? Because all your doing is contributing to getting a thread locked. A thread which you don't want to see up anyways. Why? because you said it's pointless. Yet after reading the 'Just say no to pointless threads' this hardly fall under it. Unless of course your assuming this will result in one word posts. Which actually this whole time it hasn't

The only that has deemed this thread lockable is the fact your bringing it offtopic. So BACK on topic.

What's your favorite anime? What made you put it as your favorite? (I added another for the hell of it)

Yet another which is on my list would be trigun. *Probably as already been said* but really trigun is a fun loving anime with some rather unique characters to say the least. That is another I would really want to see someone start off on.

So why, I'll talk about Abenobashi (I talk about FLCL more than enough for people to know why I love it).

I love Maical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi because of how much it has. It fires off jokes so fast, it doesn't matter if you miss a couple. It has hidden depth like Fooly Cooly, and could be even harder to get anything meaningful from, which I love in a show. It has romance stories, n ot all of which are obvious, or even pointed out. And it has more parodies than you can shake a stick at.

I'd list "Monster" under my favorite anime title, which in fact I already did in my profile.

The simple answer as to why is, indeed, depth and presentation. It's a show that shamelessly eschews things like comedy, action and fanservice - or even pretty character designs (though there's some) - in favour of a complex and twisted plot, character development, emotional drama and moral dilemmas, and perhaps above all - athmosphere. From the beautifully-flavoured European setting to masterful building of suspense, if that show doesn't have athmosphere, I don't know what does.

My favorite anime, obviously is Sailor Moon. Why? Now that's the hard part. It was the first anime that I knew to be actual Japanese anime so it kinda holds close to me for bringing me into anime. At the time is was a really unique cartoon and it really struck me. The characters sometimes seemed real and I really love anime with transforming super heriones that have elaborate attacks that kick butt. I love the animation and character development and just the feel of the whole thing. I still watch it. I'll never stop watching it. I can't honestly say why I love or watch a certain anime. It just strikes something in me and I watch it.

Hmmmm.... to choose a favorite anime is tough. so many out there to choose from. but i would have to say Case closed. i find it cool that a kid with the brain of a supercomputer it shrunk to the the size of a like... 8 year old, and now has to help the worlds stupidists dolt to find a cure to make him big agin. while still hiding his secret form his girl friend

....ya so thats why Case closed is my fav anime.

It would defiantly be Inuyasha. There is at least one character that everyone could love. I've also been watching Vandread and enjoy it's wide character base. You have the good girl, the naughty girl, the kick butt girl, the mean girl, the dorky girl, and the noisy girl. It's got something for anyone. I'm lovin it!!!

Though the dub may be horrible, the original show was just so out there that it's awesome for it. I'ts five minute plots about nothing, it's stabs at Otaku culture, its refs and jokes, and the character designs. Though nothing really comes out if it (plots, cherecter development), it's still a great show. Recommend it to everyone!
