Animated Gif Software
Just out of curiosity. What do you guys use to make animated gifs? Is there any good freeware out there to make them easily? (I can do it in Adobe Premiere but the interface isn't all that great for making such things).

Yeah but most were for photoshopping and editing a picture. None of the posts identify any of the programs as good for creating an animated gif and I didn't want to download all of them to find out which one could do that. I don't need to digitally edit a picture, I just need to string a bunch together into an animated gif.

I wrote a guide on that, but I left it on my computer that my friend is borrowing. I may get it later and post it up in the link Malificus gave. PhotoPlus is good for making gifs... and if you want to take a bunch of stills from an anime, open an anime in virtualdub and press Save image sequence in the file menu. The Wired Knight wrote:Yeah but most were for photoshopping and editing a picture. Unless you know how to adjust colors properly, don't bother using Macromedia Flash. The Shockwave (swf) and html files comes out perfect, but the gif file comes out looking like crap. Macromedia Flash probably costs around the same as Adobe Premier. (Lucky me I know someone who was able to get it for me.) It's good for other things, but not for making animated gifs.
