Today's downtime

Post by derobert » Mon Feb 13, 2006 5:34 pm

Sorry for the downtime. Yoko needs new hard disks... they're arriving tomorrow.... :-(

Please note anything that breaks, the disks ate random data...

why not have an annual fundraiser for servers and stuff? Unless that's what the donations already cover.......or say a 50 50 raffle........

Not sure if it's related, but a lot of people are having trouble uploading stuff. The queue doesn't seem to be ending. Might just be bogged down.

Donations cover bandwidth primarily, and the leftover goes into hardware.

are the leftovers enough? So maybe my plan could come into play? I'm just throwing it out there....and perhaps for the 50/50, the winners prizes are paid for? but the only problem there is that people may not do it because A. they don't have a shot or B. I have a shot, so why pay for my own winnings?
Yeah :)

They were enough to buy Yoko. All the parts are new, but apparently some were faulty. Yoko keeps having problems because derobert has been waiting on the arrival of the relacements from the vendor.
