"Wasteland" by 10 years. Which anime?

If there is a song that sounds like a specific anime style it is this one. It is Wasteland by 10 Years. I keep listening to this song and I can't pinpoint the right anime for it. It is practically should be what it is called, an anime based in a muggy world of debris, burned down trees, and high power action. I dont believe it should be a horror because I am not scared by this song. So what do you think the anime should be for this song? Here are the lyrics:

I think that has End of Evangelion written all over it, even though, I haven't heard the song at all. The lyrics say enough.

Especially:

"Piercing through another victim" sounds like when Asuka shoves her hand through those two angels.

"Ignorant to all the symbols" sounds like when all the angels have taken Shinji's Eva into the sky and those symbols that connect to one another fade in.

"Limbs tied, skin tight" could be when Asuka's Eva has her intestines pulled and when Shinji's Eva is covered/turns into that cross.

Lastly, "Self inflicted his perdition" could be when Shinji's Eva's hands have the spears of Longinius javelined through them.

That's all I can say pretty much.

I'm getting the impression that it would fit a character profile of a character in a mecha series well. The character simply needs to doubt his/her actions (the whole "Change my attempt good intentions" thing) and the average mecha series is much more tragic than it is horror.

I cought a listen at the bands website ( http://www.10yearsmusic.com/ ) and I stand by what i wrote above.
